The University of Central Florida is dedicated to providing science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) related summer opportunities for area middle and high school students. The Summer Institute (SI) currently offers tracks in Biology, Computer Science, Competitive Programming, and Physical Sciences. More than just a summer camp, each track offers a mix of activities designed to maximize learning through hands-on, individualized instruction with outstanding instructors. We encourage you to learn more about these opportunities by exploring each topic individually.

The University of Central Florida is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our Summer Institute (SI) students. We have shifted some of our programs to virtual for Summer 2021 and will continue to monitor and follow university guidelines regarding COVID-19, applicable to our programs. Potential cancellations, student capacities, locations, and other details may change as information surrounding the current pandemic continues to unfold. Biology


 

July 19 – 23, 2021

A one week day program for rising junior and senior high school students interested in seeking further understanding of Central Florida’s diverse ecosystems, from Orlando to the east coast.

Computer Science

VIRTUAL

June 7 – 25, 2021

An intensive three-week day program for gifted and high-achieving students who have interest in learning the foundations of computer science and computer technology.

Physical Sciences

CANCELLED

June 7 – 11, 2021

A one-week program for rising 6th – 8th graders interested in a range of STEM disciplines, coding, communications & media, and being a supportive member of a research group. This is a VIRTUAL Program.

Competitive Programming

VIRTUAL

July 11 – 23, 2021

An intensive two-week program for gifted and high-achieving students who have a background in Computer Science with an interest in algorithms and programming competitions.
